About Me

I am a life-long West Virginian who grew up on a small farm in Mercer County. I graduated from Spanishburg High School in 1987, and went on to earn degrees in math and computer science from Concord College and then West Virginia University. I have enjoyed careers as a college professor, a software engineer, a self-employed website designer, and a Pocahontas County Commissioner.

I enjoy raising chickens, tilling our garden in spring, engaging in many DIY projects around the farm and house, and playing outside as much as possible with my family and our dog Buddy.
